About The Black Tower
The Black Tower stands in the countryside a short ride from Caemlyn. It was founded as a counterpart to the White Tower, a place where men who can touch saidin are gathered and trained as Asha'man.
The school grows from Lord of Chaos onward under Mazrim Taim. Its training methods and its politics form an important storyline across the later books.
