About Salidar
Salidar lies near the Eldar river in Altara, close to the border with Amadicia. It was the birthplace of Deane Aryman, a famous Amyrlin, and stood empty for years before Aes Sedai who opposed the new Amyrlin chose it as a hiding place.
Nynaeve and Elayne reach Salidar in The Fires of Heaven, and the village becomes the base of the rebel Aes Sedai through Lord of Chaos.
Spoiler note: this guide mentions events up to The Fires of Heaven.
