About Mayene
Mayene is a tiny nation on the Sea of Storms, east of Tear and close to the Spine of the World. It survives beside its much larger neighbour by guarding a valuable secret: where its fishermen find the oilfish shoals.
Its ruler, the First of Mayene, claims descent from Artur Hawkwing. Berelain sur Paendrag, the current First, appears at the Stone of Tear in The Shadow Rising and becomes an important player in later alliances.
